Product & Object DesignerObjects & TablewareCollectible Design

Artist & Designer at The Future Perfect

Mexico City-based artist working primarily in wax, silver, and brass to create sculptural objects exploring memory and nostalgia. Her practice ranges from cast candleholders and wax paintings to hand-wrought utensils and jewelry built around shell forms. Burns's work is sold in New York through The Future Perfect's Made By collection of limited-edition and made-to-order pieces. Born in 1988 in Mexico, she draws on a background in psychology in developing her object-based practice, using shells as both a formal starting point and a way to give solid shape to memory. She has held solo exhibitions at the Mexican Embassy in Tokyo and at Momoroom Gallery in Mexico City, both in 2021, and her work has appeared in the Future Perfect group exhibitions Greater Delight and Inner Space in 2024.
