Alexander Gorlin

Alexander Gorlin is founder and principal architect of Alexander Gorlin Architects in New York, an award-winning practice known for a Modernist aesthetic applied across housing, schools, religious institutions, and commercial buildings. Notable projects include the El Borinquen Residence, the adaptive reuse of Bell Works, the Jennings and Boston Road supportive housing developments, Colorado House, and the Yale Boathouse. He was elevated to Fellowship in the American Institute of Architects in 2005 and has appeared on Architectural Digest's AD100 list. Gorlin is also an architectural scholar and critic whose writing has appeared in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, and he has authored several books including Tomorrow's Houses: New England Modernism and The New American Townhouse.
