Andrew Zebulon is co-founder, with Kristen Wentrcek, of the Brooklyn furniture and installation studio Wentrcek Zebulon (formerly Wintercheck Factory). The pair design and fabricate an in-house furniture line alongside site-specific installations, working with industrial and utilitarian materials — including fiberglass, resin, and rubber — that they translate into sculptural, functional forms. The studio launched as Wintercheck Factory in 2009 and has since worked from several Brooklyn locations, most recently Bed-Stuy/Crown Heights. Their early wooden furniture gave way to sculptural, materials-driven installations using wire glass and resin-impregnated medical cast tape, including the ongoing installation Intermediate States and its 2018 sequel, a fiberglass pavilion for the Collective Design fair; it has appeared on the American Design Hot List and been profiled by Sight Unseen.
