Angel Mombiedro (Armombiedro Studio)

Madrid-born, New York-based designer who studied architecture in Madrid, Hamburg, and Sao Paulo before founding Armombiedro Studio. Produces made-to-order furniture, lighting, and rugs, including the Bullarengue lounge chair and Soluz mobile lamp, handcrafted by artisans in small workshops in Madrid using iron, metal, and velvet. Represented at Love House gallery. Mombiedro holds an architecture degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has professional architecture experience in New York alongside his design practice. His studio's other pieces include the Qoticher dining chair and Refectorio dining table, and he completed a commercial design project for Calvin Klein in 2022. In September 2019, Dwell magazine named him one of its Dwell 24 emerging design talents, with further coverage in Architectural Digest, AD Spain, and Elle Decor Spain.
