Anina Major

Bahamas-born ceramic artist who maintains a studio through the EFA Studio Program in Manhattan's Fashion District while also based in New England, where she teaches ceramics at Bennington College. Her sculptural work translates Bahamian straw-plaiting techniques into clay, exploring displacement, memory, and postcolonial identity. Represented on The Future Perfect's Made By roster; pieces are held in the National Gallery of The Bahamas, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture.
