Arjun Desai, AIA, is a founding principal of Desai Chia Architecture, which he co-founded with Katherine Chia in 1996 in New York. Raised in New Delhi and Mumbai, India, he holds a Master of Architecture from MIT and a B.A. from Bennington College. Before co-founding the firm, he worked at SHCA/NY on civic projects in New York and Washington, D.C. He is registered as an architect in New York and active with AIA New York. Desai Chia was named Best Small Architecture Firm (Global) by Architizer in 2025 and ranks among the top 100 U.S. architecture firms.
