Arlene Avidan is an architect with over fifteen years of experience as a Senior Designer and Project Manager for Fortune 500 companies including Shearson Lehman Brothers, Herman Miller, and the Equitable, managing design and construction for over 10 million square feet of commercial space. She has worked for prestigious NYC firms including Perkins Eastman Architects, Iu & Lewis Design, and Rockwell Architecture Planning and Design. As Principal of Avidan Architecture + Design (formed in 2004 with Allison Eden Karn), she has designed and built numerous residential and small commercial projects throughout New York City and the Tri-State area. Notable projects include a 217,000 square foot Independent Living Complex for Osborn Retirement Community in Rye, NY, the Laurence Rockefeller Outpatient facility for Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, and headquarters for Helen Keller Worldwide. She holds a BFA from University of Massachusetts/Amherst, an MArch from UCLA, and graduate work from Columbia University. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and licensed architect in New York.
