Ayala Serfaty

Ayala Serfaty is a Tel Aviv-based designer working since the 1990s across sculptural lighting, furniture, and textiles. She founded Aqua Creations Lighting and Furniture Atelier in 1996 before establishing an independent studio, and is best known for the handcrafted SOMA light series, built from thin glass rods draped in a diaphanous membrane. Her New York gallery representation is through Maison Gerard, and her work is held in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Arts and Design.
