Bjarke Ingels is a Danish architect who studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and worked for Rem Koolhaas's OMA in Rotterdam before co-founding PLOT Architects in 2001. He founded Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in 2005; the firm now maintains a major office in Brooklyn's DUMBO. BIG's New York projects include VIA 57 West and The Spiral in Manhattan. Ingels was named to Time magazine's 100 most influential people list in 2016.
