Brian Loughlin, AIA, APA, is Principal and Director of Planning and Urban Design at Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP) in New York City, focusing on public housing, master planning, community engagement, special-needs housing, trauma-informed design, and sustainability. He previously served as director of New Construction for the New York City Housing Authority and chief architect of the Jersey City Housing Authority. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Architecture and Real Estate Development at Columbia University and has co-chaired AIA New York's Housing Committee and chaired the American Planning Association's Housing and Community Development Division. He earned a Master of Architecture from Columbia University in 2002.
