Chris Cooper

Chris Cooper is a Design Partner in the New York studio of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and Vice-chair of the SOM Foundation. His portfolio includes the first commercial office building to achieve LEED-C/S Gold certification and the redevelopment of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Volpe Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As founding partner of SOM's Climate Action Group, he advances sustainable design standards and has represented the firm at COP27. He also serves as a board member of the National Building Museum.
