Craig Young

Lighting designer at Ventresca Design in Long Island City, Queens, specializing in architectural lighting after an earlier career in theatrical lighting design for regional theater. Holds graduate degrees in theatrical lighting design from Virginia Tech and architectural lighting design from the New York School of Interior Design, and serves on the IESNYC Student Lighting Competition committee. He also holds a BFA in theatrical design from Lock Haven University, designed more than 50 theatrical productions including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and taught at the University at Buffalo and the University of Southern Indiana before shifting to architectural lighting. During his NYSID studies he earned an honorable mention in the 2019 IES Student Lighting Competition.
