David Jay Weiner is the founder and principal of David Jay Weiner, Architects in New York, an award-winning firm specializing in residential design, adaptive reuse, and small to mid-size commercial projects. He holds a Master of Architecture from MIT and a Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Texas at Arlington. Before founding his practice, he worked in the offices of Arata Isozaki in Tokyo, James Stewart Polshek and Partners, and John Burgee Architects with Philip Johnson in New York. He won the AIA New York State Design Award of Merit in 2007 for a weekend house in Rensselaer County, New York, and has been a guest critic at Columbia University, Pratt Institute, and the University of Pennsylvania. He is licensed in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the AIA.
