David W. Hess, AIA, LEED BD+C, CPHC, is an Associate Partner at Sage and Coombe Architects in New York, licensed in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Over thirty years of practice spanning commercial, institutional, and residential work, he has led design teams for Mulberry Commons Phase 1, a four-acre green space in Newark, the Live Oak Pavilion amphitheater, and the renovation and expansion of Brooklyn Heights Synagogue, and currently oversees the Hudson River Park Estuarium and Mulberry Commons Phase 2. He holds a BA from Bennington College and a Master in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and previously worked as a Principal at ZGF Architects and an Associate Partner at Pelli Clarke Pelli.
