Ed Bakos

Ed Bakos, AIA, IIDA, is Partner and CEO of Champalimaud Design, a New York-based interior design studio, which he joined in 2012 as managing director. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a Master in Architecture from Harvard University, and taught architecture at Cornell's Rome Program and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Before Champalimaud, he spent 18 years at Rockwell Group as a Principal and Studio Leader, working on projects including the first W Hotel, the Belvedere Hotel in Mykonos, the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. He has more than 25 years of experience in luxury hospitality and restaurant design and was named to Forbes' 2026 Leadership list of America's Top Hospitality Architects & Designers.
