Esther Sperber

Esther Sperber is Founder and Principal Architect of Studio ST Architects in New York, which she established in 2003 after more than five years at Pei Architects working with I.M. Pei. Born and raised in Jerusalem, she trained at the Technion in Haifa before pursuing further studies at Columbia University. The firm's work spans synagogue and religious spaces, residential and multi-family housing, institutional projects, and interior renovations. Sperber also writes and speaks on the intersection of architecture with psychoanalysis, religion, and culture, with commentary published in the New York Times, Huffington Post, and Architect Magazine, and lectures at Harvard's Graduate School of Design, Yale University, and the Israel Museum.
