Fernando Villa, FAIA, NOMA, LEED AP BD+C, is Principal and Design Director at Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP) in New York City, with more than 25 years of international design experience in sustainable, affordable, and supportive housing and mixed-use development. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and has served as co-chair of AIA New York's Housing Committee, and is a member of NOMA and the Architectural League of New York. His projects include the AIA National Housing Award-winning MLK Plaza, the AIANY Design Award-winning St. Augustine Terrace, and the passive-house developments Highbridge and Carmen Villegas Apartments, both recognized by NYSERDA's Buildings of Excellence program.
