George Schieferdecker

George Schieferdecker is a Partner Emeritus of BKSK Architects, which he co-founded in 1985 with Harry Kendall and Stephen Byrns after studying together at Columbia University's School of Architecture. Before founding BKSK, he was a project manager at Stephen Potter Architects and held positions at Sartogo Schwarting Architects and Childs, Bertman, Tseckares. At BKSK, a New York firm known for socially and contextually engaged design, he worked with clients on cultural, civic, and residential projects, including the mixed-use building One Vandam in Hudson Square.
