Jackrabbit Studio

Jackrabbit Studio is the furniture design practice of self-taught designer Brett Miller, based in Hudson, New York. Working primarily in wood and using lathe-turning techniques adapted from surfboard shaping, Miller produces sculptural seating, tables, and lighting with rounded, organic forms. Founded in 2018, the same year Miller was included in Sight Unseen's American Design Hot List, the studio has collaborated with lighting company Roll & Hill on pieces including the Paloma mirror and the Checa stool, and has placed work with commercial clients including Google's Chicago office. Miller has more recently begun experimenting with lime plaster alongside wood. The studio is represented in New York by Love House.
