New York-based furniture designer and interior architect, trained in architecture at UC Berkeley and in Gae Aulenti's Milan studio before settling in New York City in 1978. Hong was part of the Art et Industrie gallery scene in SoHo during the late 1970s and 80s, producing sculptural furniture in bold forms and rich color. His work is held by the Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and the Queens Museum, and he is represented by Superhouse gallery.
