Jay Valgora

Jay Valgora is Founder and Principal of STUDIO V, a New York architecture firm founded in 2006 focused on transforming industrial waterfronts. Raised in Buffalo, New York, he earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design, where he studied under Alvaro Siza, followed by a Fulbright fellowship researching industrial waterfronts in London. He was design director at Rockwell Group beginning in 1993 and design principal at WalkerGroup from 1998. His projects include Empire Stores in DUMBO, the Industry City master plan, Anable Basin in Long Island City, Silo City in Buffalo, and the Macy's Herald Square renovation.
