John Woell

John Woell is a partner at Steven Harris Architects, which he joined in 1995, with expertise in New York City building regulations and brownstone renovation. He holds a Master of Architecture from Yale, where he studied under Harold Bloom, Frank Stella, and Karsten Harries, and a Bachelor of Arts and Architecture from the University of Minnesota. Before joining SHA he worked with Richard Meier on the design and construction of the Getty Center. He teaches at Yale and has received UNESCO and AIA awards and a Graham Foundation grant.
