Founder and consulting design principal of Fisher Marantz Stone, the Manhattan architectural lighting design firm he and Paul Marantz established in 1971 as Jules Fisher & Paul Marantz, Inc. Alongside the firm's architectural work, Fisher has built a parallel career as a theatrical lighting designer, winning nine Tony Awards and receiving twenty-five nominations across more than 200 Broadway and off-Broadway productions; in 2026 he received a Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.
