Julie Nelson is a Partner and lead architect at BKSK Architects in New York, where she has worked for over two decades directing complex institutional and commercial projects. She also oversees the firm's sustainable design practice and participates in firm planning and management. Before joining BKSK she worked at the offices of Robert A.M. Stern Architects and SmithGroup. A native of Virginia, she holds Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in Architecture from the University of Virginia. Her project work includes the LEED Platinum Queens Botanical Garden Visitor and Administration Building and the Center for Fiction.
