Katharina Herzog

Katharina Herzog is a principal at 1100 Architect, an architecture firm with studios in New York and Frankfurt. She joined the firm in 2017 and has served on the management team leading the Frankfurt studio since 2025, alongside fellow principals Gunter Weyrich, Karin Kohlhaas, and Philipp Venema. Her practice emphasizes dialogue, care, and conceptual depth, with a particular focus on architecture for art and culture; she led the design of an art depot in Darmstadt, one of the first central collection facilities for art and archival materials in Germany. She studied architecture at TU Darmstadt and Universita Roma Tre and has been a registered member of the Chamber of Architects and Urban Planners of Hesse since 2020.
