Lana Launay

Sydney-based lighting designer who hand-weaves sculptural lampshades and floor lamps from raffia, coconut-shell rope, bamboo, and linen, often paired with custom steel frames made with a local welder. Self-taught after an earlier career in jewelry design, Launay draws on family ties to southern Spain and the French Riviera for her Andalusian-inspired forms. Her work is represented in New York by Love House gallery.
