Magnus Magnusson

Magnus Magnusson, AIA, LEED AP, is founder and managing principal of Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP) in New York City. Born in Iceland, he guides the firm's mixed-use and affordable housing, community, healthcare, and large-scale planning projects, with notable work including Melrose Commons in the Bronx, Atlantic Terrace in Brooklyn, and the Rheingold Gardens Urban Renewal Project in Brooklyn. His projects have been featured in the New York Times and have won AIA New York and Westchester + Hudson Valley Chapter design awards; he has chaired the AIA New York Chapter's Housing Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from City College of New York and a Master of Architectural Technology from Columbia University.
