Manuel Mergal

Manuel Mergal is founder and principal architect of Mergal Architecture & Design in Manhattan. He holds a Master's in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's in Urban Design from Columbia University. He spent 14 years at Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer designing restaurants including the Rainbow Room and Windows on the World, followed by four years at Ferguson Shamamian and ten years at Cooper Robertson & Partners, where he was a partner for seven years. His residential practice focuses on New York City's landmarked townhouses and apartments, with additional work in Southampton, East Hampton, the Bahamas, and La Romana. He is a Fellow Emeritus of the Institute for Classical Architecture & Art and has taught at FIT's Interior Design Department.
