Michael Carnahan is a Brooklyn-based, Tony Award-nominated scenic (set) designer working across Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theater, and television. His Broadway credits include set design for Skeleton Crew (2022 Tony nomination for Best Scenic Design of a Play) and Lackawanna Blues, plus associate scenic design work on A Doll's House, Curtains, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Kinky Boots. His Off-Broadway and regional work includes The Piano Lesson and The Hot Wing King (2021 Pulitzer Prize for Drama winner), as well as international productions of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Billy Elliot the Musical in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design, he has collaborated with directors including Joel Grey, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kamilah Forbes, Christopher Ashley, and Neil Pepe.
