Miguel Valcarcel, AIA, is a founding principal of Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel, Architects, DPC (GKV Architects) in New York, holding a BS in Architecture from the City College of New York. Before co-founding GKV in 1995, he was a partner at KPF Interior Architects, working on projects including 50 Avenue Montaigne in Paris and the Equitable Headquarters in New York. At GKV he has led the Beekman Hotel adaptive reuse and the Graduate Hotel in New Haven, and has served as a guest instructor at Parsons School of Design.
