Founder & Principal at Morris Adjmi Architects

Morris Adjmi, FAIA, is founder and principal of Morris Adjmi Architects. A New Orleans native, he earned a Master of Architecture from Tulane University and began working with Italian architect Aldo Rossi in 1981, co-founding Studio di Architettura with Rossi in New York in 1986. The two collaborated on projects including the Hotel Il Palazzo in Fukuoka, Japan, and the Scholastic Corporation headquarters in New York City. After Rossi's death in 1997, Adjmi established his own firm, which is known for contextual architecture in New York's historic districts, and he has edited two books on Rossi's life and work.
