Najib Abboud

Najib Abboud is Managing Principal and Applied Science Practice Co-Leader at Thornton Tomasetti in New York, with more than 28 years of experience in applied mechanics research, structural and computational engineering, and vulnerability assessment. He directs research into the safety of military platforms, critical infrastructure, tall buildings, and industrial facilities, and oversees critical infrastructure security and resilience work for major transportation and port authorities. He previously served as Principal and Chief Technology Officer of Weidlinger Associates. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Structural Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
