President at Fisher Marantz Stone

Paula Martinez-Nobles is President of Fisher Marantz Stone, a New York architectural lighting design firm founded in 1971. She joined FMS as an intern from Penn State's architectural engineering program and rose through the firm over 21 years before being named president in 2025, the firm's third generational leadership transition, and continues to lead design work directly. She holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering with a minor in Architectural Studies from Penn State, and prior to her promotion served as a Principal and the firm's Studio Director, contributing to more than 500 projects; Michael Hemmenway was named Managing Director in the same leadership transition. FMS's body of work includes the lighting design for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, the "Tribute in Light" installation, and the David Geffen Hall renovation at Lincoln Center.
