Berkeley, California-based artist working across furniture, objects, and lighting design, with a practice rooted in critical theory and material experimentation. Born in Brooklyn, Ajl studied literature and critical theory at Hampshire College before earning an MFA in Design from California College of the Arts in 2012. His work, including the Saguaro vessel series and Post and Plane furniture, is represented in New York by The Future Perfect. He also teaches at California College of the Arts and UC Davis.
