Saky Yakas

Saky Yakas is a Partner at SLCE Architects in New York, specializing in affordable housing development, including low-income housing, senior living, special-needs housing, schools, and institutional projects for nonprofit clients, and navigating federal, state, and city funding and approval processes. Over his career he has completed more than 136 affordable housing buildings totaling over 10,500 units, plus 27 market-rate residential buildings with more than 5,500 units. In 2016 he received HANAC's Person of the Year award for his work as design and managing architect on the HANAC George T. Douris Tower senior housing facility. He holds a Certificate and Diploma in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Central London and is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Greece.
