Scott Henson

Scott Henson, FAIA, is the Founder and Principal of Henson Architecture in New York, elevated to Fellow of the AIA in 2020. His career in preservation began documenting early 18th-century farmhouses and includes training under traditional tradespeople and a Master Carpenter apprenticeship in Japan. He specializes in adaptive reuse and historic preservation combined with sustainable design, with projects including the Knickerbocker Telephone Company Building in SoHo and the Tracy Mansion in Park Slope. His awards include multiple AIANY Design Awards, a Traditional Building Palladio Award, and Lucy G. Moses Preservation Awards; he also serves as Vice President of SARANY.
