Shay Alster, AIA, is a Managing Partner at GF55 Architects in New York, where his expertise in NYC zoning has made him instrumental in leading large-scale urban development and affordable housing projects. Before joining GF55, he worked as an architectural designer at RKK&G/The Museum Group on the American Museum of Natural History and museum projects in Puerto Rico, and later at Kupiec & Koutsomitis Architects on Times Square and Port Authority Bus Terminal redevelopment work. He graduated with highest honors from Pratt Institute School of Architecture and holds a Certificate in Real Estate Investment and Finance from NYU. He is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Florida and is active in AIA New York, NYSAFAH, and the Urban Land Institute.
