Sho Ota

Japanese designer based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, working in sculpted wood furniture and objects. After six years designing wooden furniture in Japan, Ota earned a master's degree from Design Academy Eindhoven's Contextual Design Department in 2018 and opened his own studio there. His handmade pieces expose the structural and grain qualities of wood through minimalist, sculptural forms. He is represented in New York by The Future Perfect.
