Mexico City–based furniture designer and founder of Simon Hamui Studio, established in 1991 with his brother Leon after Hamui graduated from Pratt Institute in industrial design. The studio produces bespoke furniture and interior architecture through in-house carpentry, stonework, metalwork, upholstery, finishing, and lighting workshops housed in a 50,000-square-foot factory in Mexico City. Work spans cultural centers, government buildings, luxury hotels, private residences, and yacht interiors, including the ACALA II, delivered in 2023, and residential projects developed with architecture firm Gantous Arquitectos, incorporating artwork by Gabriel de la Mora, Xawery Wolski, and Javier Marin. Simon Hamui's collection is represented in New York through Love House.
