Stephen F. Byrns

Stephen F. Byrns is a Partner Emeritus of BKSK Architects, which he co-founded in 1985 with Harry Kendall and George Schieferdecker. He holds a BA from Princeton University and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. His work at BKSK emphasized traditional residential, institutional, and multi-family projects, and in 2007 he received a Palladio Award for restoring a historic home in Riverdale, New York. He served as a New York City Landmarks Preservation Commissioner from 2004 to 2010 and founded the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy in 2011, where he serves as president.
