Tim McCarthy

Tim McCarthy is a Partner and Managing Principal of Hart Howerton, an architecture and planning firm headquartered in New York and San Francisco. Having split much of his career between London and New York, he has led design teams on projects in nearly twenty countries across four continents, with a focus on how the built environment can support health and wellness. He leads the firm's sponsored research at the University of Virginia's Center for Design & Health, serves on the Advisory Board of Cornell University's Institute for Healthy Futures, and was a Working Group Member for the International WELL Building Institute's Community Standard.
