Tom Kundig

Tom Kundig, FAIA, RIBA, is a principal and owner of Olson Kundig, which he joined in 1986 and became partner of in 1994, then principal and owner in 1996. He holds undergraduate and graduate architecture degrees from the University of Washington. His portfolio spans adaptive reuse, hospitality, museums, wineries, and private homes, often incorporating kinetic design elements known as "gizmos." His work has earned more than 230 awards, including a National Design Award in Architecture from the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and ten National Honor Architecture Awards from the AIA. He has authored four monographs published by Princeton Architectural Press.
