Another.World Studio

Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2023 by artist-designers Youtian Duan and Yingxi Ji, creating narrative-driven furniture and objects that anthropomorphize everyday forms. Debut collection From Elsewhere included the Love Seat, Treasure Box, and Portal Clock. Selected for Colony's 2025 Designers' Residency, operating from Colony's Tribeca space in Manhattan. Co-founder Duan holds an MFA in furniture design from the Rhode Island School of Design and has continued studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her seating piece Flock of Sheep, hand-shaped from upholstery foam, won the 2024 NY Product Design Award in its seating category.
