D-Haene Studio

Brooklyn ceramics and design studio founded by Jane Yang-D'Haene, who opened her Industry City studio in 2018 after training at Cooper Union and working as an interior designer. Makes minimalist, sculptural vases and home objects that draw on traditional Korean pottery forms, worked in unexpected colors and textures. Yang-D'Haene began working in clay around 2016, building pieces by hand with coiling, mixed clay bodies, and multiple layered firings, and has been represented by The Future Perfect gallery since 2022; her ceramics have been shown in a solo exhibition at Hauser & Wirth Southampton and at the Harvard Art Museums, and in 2023 a piece was selected for the Vice President's residence art collection. With architect Francis D'Haene, she also designs the Jogakbo furniture line of tables and credenzas under the joint D'Haene Studio name.
