Demisch Danant

Manhattan gallery in Greenwich Village founded in 2005 by Suzanne Demisch and Stephane Danant, who had already worked together for five years beforehand, specializing in twentieth-century French design from the late 1950s through the 1970s. Represents historical designers including Maria Pergay, Pierre Paulin, Joseph-André Motte, Jacques Dumond, and Pierre Guariche, and publishes scholarly monographs on French design figures, including a complete-works volume on Pergay and a study of Antoine Philippon and Jacqueline Lecoq. The gallery also curates exhibitions exploring architecture, design, and art, featuring work by Sheila Hicks and César, and maintains a presence in Paris.
