Lighting MakerBrooklyn Navy Yard studio designing and manufacturing sculptural lighting — pendants, sconces, wall panels, screens, and room dividers — from interlocking, die-cut wood veneer and plastic patterns such as Pinwheel and Arabesque. Fixtures are hand-assembled on site and illuminate to reveal the cut pattern. Founded in 2001 by RISD-trained industrial designer James Dieter, the studio also produces Flake and Star patterns, typically cut from two-ply wood veneer with a poly-core lamination, with every pattern customizable and scalable to size; the work has been shown at the ICFF design fair in New York.
