Ernesta

Direct-to-consumer custom rug company founded in 2022 by former Peloton executives John Foley, Hisao Kushi, and Yony Feng, launching nationwide in 2023. Headquartered with a showroom and trade program on Manhattan's Upper East Side, Ernesta designs made-to-measure rugs sold online and through its retail location, with manufacturing based in Georgia. The company raised $25 million in Series A funding led by Addition and True Ventures, followed by a $20 million Series B round in 2025. Ernesta sources carpet rolls from Georgia mills, cuts and binds rugs to custom sizes at a New Jersey facility, and offers white-glove delivery; it reported $55 million in sales in 2025, making it among the largest custom-rug retailers in the country.
