Sunset Park, Brooklyn furniture workshop founded by Michael Quirk, launched in January 2025 after a successful Kickstarter campaign the previous autumn. The studio handcrafts Danish-inspired chairs, tables, and lamps from locally sourced ash, using wood salvaged from trees killed by the invasive emerald ash borer, which has killed hundreds of millions of ash trees in North America and threatens billions more. The workshop donates ten percent of profits to Urban Wood Economy, a nonprofit partner focused on ash reforestation, and its product line includes the Jana chair, later reworked as the Bornholm lounge chair, and the Lunde table.
