Furniture & Objects StudioEst. 2008

Grain Design is a furniture, lighting, and textile studio founded in 2008 by Chelsea and James Minola, both RISD-trained industrial designers. Based on Bainbridge Island, Washington, the studio produces made-to-order pieces in FSC-certified hardwoods, cork, and natural wool, pairing CNC milling with hand craft and artisan collaborations across North America. Grain is represented in New York through Colony, the Canal Street design cooperative. Represented in New York by Colony.
