Moving Mountains

Moving Mountains is a Bushwick, Brooklyn-based furniture design studio founded in 2014 by Syrette Lew, a former West Elm designer, working at the intersection of industrial design, art, and fashion. The studio is known for upholstered seating and sculptural furniture in linen, velvet, and hardwoods, produced with regional craftsmen and shown at NYC gallery Colony. Notable pieces include the Pune'e daybed, Sula chair, and Confetti credenza, and the studio has exhibited at Sight Unseen OFFSITE and collaborated with Cadillac on a Wallpaper* Handmade piece and with COS on a pop-up newsstand. Lew's early work won two awards, including a Metropolis Likes honor, at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, and Moving Mountains has been featured in Architectural Digest, Dwell, Elle Decor, Metropolis, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, and Wallpaper*.
